dim sum 4 lyfe!!!

began the day waking up around 8ish... i was sorta awaken already duno why... had slept at 3am in the morning, talking about "important" stuff... but anyway my dad tried to wake me up to go to the post office to help them (which i guess helped a lot), due to my cousin jacky feeling headaches hence pulling a sickie... =S yeah my paros giving him lots of shit haha, like it wouldnt be tolerable out in the real world with other employers bla bla bla (especially cos we had an employee that always got "migraines".)

anyway worked from 9am-12pm noon. only had a glass of milk and water during this time. during some time my dad told me to get some stuff from his car, so i walked out of the PO, and saw my uncle por (eddie) who visited at this time, and when he left... someone allegedly bumped into his car (both were reversing out of their respective parking spots), but my uncle was already "in position" and didnt see the other car, who bumped into him... hence their car had more damage than my uncle's car, and they were in the wrong. also wan tat visited to get his photo taken etc. to get his proof of age card... he said he was going swimming at riverton around this time.

after that went home to pack some stuff, then went to eat at tea cafe in northbridge. ate a bbq pork won ton noodles ($12.50, pretty expensive...)

then went off to different pharmacies in the city:

(at this time saw annie, who works at city chemist, last time saw her at the one near myer, but didnt know she alternated between that one and the one in hay st mall, her boss owns both...)

at fitch's chemist, the lady asked me a lot of questions about my past experience, whether i could communicate well with customers, and any problems with retail (to sell sunglasses) etc. she also said that i could come in and work next saturday from 9am-6pm, as a trial cos one of their girls were away... and if i worked well = job, if not = no job... still considering this... their pharmacy seems quite small, duno ahha didnt see any azns in there... but she asked me if i knew "kevin", and turned out kevin tay works there.

also just before going into pharmacity, saw anpo... with her friend... saw her mum at the post office in the morning too haha

then went to harbourtown pharmacy outlet, in which the lady gave me a card and told me to ring them back on monday afternoon. the card also had opening hours, in which it said on sunday they opened from 12am-6pm (18 hours??? i dont think so LOL, which reminds me, on the pharmacy website, they said second year orientation was 1.30am to 5 pm SIF!!!). my paros had trouble finding parking here, and wanted to go to harvey norman first, but there was no way there because it lead directly to the freeway! so they went straight ahead to this no thru road and waited for me =S

then went to my uncles house... sat around for a bit, saw my aunty anita and cousin eric, watched some footy (eagles got whooped by port adelaide 91 points =( )... then we went in my uncles car (which used to be ours, toyota seca, no. plate VVV-200, V for Vincent, Victor and Vivien, our family lol =( ) to carousel to drop me off, while dad and por went to the police station to report the crash.

then went to carousel pharmacies:
chemist megamart - looks new, and situated outside the shopping centre (met the same lady 2 days ago, pharmacist jodie duong haha. some guy in there seems to have recognised me, and then he intro'd me, his name paul i think)

wizard warehouse (east - this replaced the former amcal, which was still named amcal on the directory guide =S later heard on radio ads about this "new" store too)

WW, this store was all purple haha, saw the garbo one b4... anyway some indian? lady talked to me, and asked me about whether i could do the hours now full time (unlikely), or do casual first and wait till summer hols around december b4 starting... asked me whether i would go overseas, as need to "arrange with the council" when to the full time... somewhat helpful. and she said she would forward to the pharmacist, and told me that casuals work thurs nites and sat mornings...

and at guardian... the chick who served me suddenly said "have i seen you somewhere before" in which i didnt really recognise her, then she told me she saw me at high road pharmacy last week... and then she said she was doing rotation (hence diff pharm locations). and she would hand my resume to pharmacist also

also saw nick at coffee club again, but he seemed hell busy so didnt bother him.

then waited outside caro till 5.30pm, and they picked me up.

went to co-pharmacy (101 norma road, where jamie and janice works, called jamie b4 she said she was working till 8)... haha didnt look like a normal pharmacy at all, couldnt even see the name. anyway it seemed to be closed, and some indian guy with glasses came out (turned out that he was the supervisor of j&j), and i asked him if it was still open, and he replied "not to the public", but offered to hand in my resume to the boss for me... (apparently j&j said that he was a smoker), so yeah didnt bother to go in.

then went home for a short while, and bused to city...

then went to KFC and got some mashies and popcorn chicken (both smallest sizes, total was $5.50)... yummm with sweet chilli sauce

then went to timezone, saw "jimmy the hand" playing mario kart... then i played 2 "free" credits of pinball, then i played mario kart (now on to the special 6 cups, before it was only 4 cups) too, and some max tune.

then at about 8 went to emperors court, to see matt and annita and steph and zahin all dressed up and waiting. dim came soon enough, and then the others slowly flocked in

our table had steph, zahin, me, janice, jamie, lisa, keegan, annita, paul and matt... but rob and chermaine? and jonni also joined for a bit... yeah there were lots of ppl filled in that reserved room (his other friends , which had ancient chinese chick art on it LOL, and some stephen chow movie played on the movie screen for about 3 times ahha (first time had english subtitles tho =S). matt also tried to setup the ipod music to amplifier, but wasnt very loud...

SO YEAH... just had a great time, had lots of DIMSUM for dinner (which surely will never happen again in my lifetime =P), not even in hong kong will it happen. yes usual dimsum dishes came, har gau, siu mai, fried squid, lor mai gai, char siu bao, char ciu and prawn cheung fun, seaweed roll, foong jau ETC. 3 rounds of it!!! hell full, needed 4 containers to da bau the remaining lol. drinks = fanta and coke and water (mt franklin + frantelle? =S). i suggested having spider, but keegan thought it was mix of softdrinks, but its acutally mix soft drink + ice cream, and then keegan asked what was mix of fanta and coke, to which rob replied "shit" LOL.

ALSO saw the manager of emperors court, the big guy... who always goes into timezone to play the skill tester machine, we thought he gets em for his kids... and yeah he must be rich. even jamie recognised him and she never goes into timezone!

also jamie said she left the card at work =S hadnt signed it yet, but apparently we were all assigned animals "i was a hippo" =D

then chatted took photos and stuff. and had cake (from cheesecake shop, which keegan said he had got sick of haha), 3 different cakes served, 3 diff colours (brown, yellow and yellow brownish haha), all had 7 candles arranged in a 7 shape, hence 7 7 7 ! one had "dim" in kanji/chinese, one had "sum" (these 2 had japanese writing too), and the remaining had "21st". keegan also gave me timezone and orbit vouchers which he got from committee =D

but yeah service was ok... with one of the staff, took awhile to get a "new PAIR" of chopsticks and some other small requests but all in all a great party!!! unique definitely.

then waited outside, MAp went to take photos at timezone. saw jabba/stefan and buzza and greeted them (they went to rise after), then a bit later saw hsian and leanne who were going to metros. then when matt came back went home in matt's car, with janice and jamie.

so now i'll eat an apple... nites!
